History
VT Leasing Limited was incorporated in June 1989 to engage in the business of equipment leasing. With its registered office at No. PC 14 Ahmed Onibudo Street, Victoria Island, the company commenced operations in November 1989.
Though equipment leasing in its full ramifications had always been the Company’s business, special emphasis was placed on small ticket leases to individuals within a defined income range. This carved a niche for the company as the first financial institution to give any form of consumer credit albeit to a select middle income group and made VT Leasing a household name in Nigeria in the early 1990s.
It is to the credit of the management of the company that it was able to survive the systemic crash of finance houses in 1993 to reinvent itself as a specialist operating lease company with pioneering work in the provision of materials handling equipment on an outsourced basis to blue chip companies.
VT Leasing Limited is a renowned expert in lease transactions with 3 decades of experience in providing qualitative services to small, medium and large corporates in the Financial Services, Technology, Telecommunications, Energy, Healthcare, Real Estate, Material and Consumer Staples sectors, for various as assets including motor vehicles, generators as well as industrial plant and machinery.
